Requirements
- NVQ3 in childcare related field
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma for Residential Care
- good verbal and written communications including report writing
- IT skills to a good standard
- good interpersonal skills to support children, young people and their families
- knowledge of issues relating to learning, sensory and physical disabilities
- knowledge and understanding of current legislation and care practices
- skills to work in partnership and as part of a team
Responsibility
- to shift lead sessions as part of the rota if required
- to listen to children, respect their values, beliefs and identity
- to deliver of a broad programme of quality, stimulating play opportunities including sports, games, arts, crafts, activities that are fun, creative and offer the children developmental experiences, this will include creative session planning and monitoring
- job Title: Bank Support Worker/Residential Support Worker
- to work , in the family home and in the community as part of a rota, this may include early morning, day, evening, and weekends as needed
- accountable to: Registered Manager, Deputy Manager
- hours of Work: 40 hours per week-shift working
- to be a key worker allocated as requested, being the family contact in the service and responsible for maintaining accurate up to date records for key children
