- must be able to sew on a wide range of materials, including fabrics, leather, vinyl
- must have a general knowledge of upholstery requirements
- role includes sewing of settees, chairs, fixed seating, headboards etc
- must be experienced in making piping, adding zips and other sundries
- must be able to work alongside colleagues in different roles to ensure quality results
- inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
Requirements
- proficient in operating Fanuc-controlled machines
- experience operating forklifts or willingness to learn
- strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
- familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently or as part of a team
