- responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of the electrical controls / drives to plant, machinery and equipment
- the completion of planned preventative maintenance work as scheduled
- repairs to electrical faults on plant and machinery
- detection and fault-finding activities to ensure optimum machine or plant operation
- testing of both portable appliances and fixed wiring systems
- testing of machine electrics and safety devices
- installation of measuring and monitoring systems
Education
- time served Electrical Apprenticeship
- qualification to the current edition of the NICEIC regulations covering electrical design and installation
- awareness of safe working practices including working at height and PUWER regulations regarding electrical safety
- portable appliance testing
- fixed wiring testing
- demonstrates competence when carrying out tasks
- understands the safety critical nature of produced goods and works to maintain the quality standards required
- actively participate in waste reduction and energy saving initiatives
