Responsibility
- as a Senior PV Designer at Alt-Solar , you'll be a key player in shaping the future of solar energy
- develop comprehensive PV system designs, including system layouts, electrical single-line diagrams, and detailed equipment specifications
- you'll leverage your expertise to design and develop high-performance PV systems, ensuring optimal energy production and client satisfaction
- this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with a passionate team, and make a real difference in promoting sustainable solutions
- prepare and review technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and construction drawings
- perform in-depth energy production analyses using PVSOL to optimize system performance and maximise project returns
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related field
- minimum of 2 years of experience in photovoltaic system design and engineering
- proven track record of successfully designing and delivering high-performance PV systems
- proficiency in industry-standard PV design software
- strong understanding of electrical principles, with a focus on DC systems
- in-depth knowledge of UK regulations, codes, and safety standards for PV installations, including the IET Code of Practices
- good understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and their role in PV projects
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
