- to prepare, cook and present meals for residents, employees and visitors
- to have in depth knowledge of the IDDSI framework
- an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Second Chef to support the Head Chef at Glenburnie Lodge, a brand-new purpose-built care home, in Wenvoe
- opening Summer 2023, Glenburnie Lodge will comprise beautifully furnished accommodation as well as a range of exceptional facilities, to include a gym, bar, cinema, coffee lounge, beauty salon and dining rooms
- to ensure adequate and safe storage of all kitchen provisions and equipment
- to comply with the requirements of HACCP and ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly records are kept as required
- to be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in devising and maintaining rotational menus to provide choice for service users within an agreed budget
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience of catering in a similar environment
- can demonstrate an understanding of specialist dietary needs of residents
- effective communicator
- ability to prioritise and organise
- ability to work on own initiative
- team worker
