hgv driver
Responsibility
- understand the company SHEQ Policy
- understand the individual and collective responsibilities of the driver/operator and to play their part
- comply with written and or verbal instructions of work, routes and methods receiving an outline of potential hazards and precautions
- not to operate any plant or equipment unless authorised
- to switch off and secure unattended vehicle, plant or equipment
- ensure accident/incident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with
- all drivers maintain their licences and other certification and are suitably trained/competent to carry out the prescribed tasks
- be trained and follow risk assessments and safe working procedures of activities within their operation ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe. Also that the necessary procedures, rules and regulations are applied and followed
Requirements
- hookloader- and drawbar experience preferred but not essential, full training is given
- RORO experience required
- clean HGV licence for the appropriate categories, digital driver card and driver qualification card- These are all essential
- driving: 2 years
