ALPHA CARE AMBULANCE SERVICE is looking for employees for positions:
ambulance care assistant
Responsibility
- transport Patients to and from various treatment centres including; hospices, clinics, hospitals, care homes
- ensure the welfare and safety of Patients with your level of training
- complete all relevant/required documentation ensuring it is accurate and legible
- maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- liaise, communicate and co-operate with colleagues, Health Care and Medical Professionals in order to ensure the highest standard of Patient care
- ensure vehicles are fully equipped, functioning and ready for use at commencement of each shift in accordance with the company procedures
- clean equipment and clean vehicles inside and out and refuel them as required
- deliver Extra Contractual journeys, long distance and cross boundary journeys including working beyond normal shift times from time to time, as needed for such journeys
Requirements
- A Full UK driving licence held for over 2 years with less than 3 penalty points
- recent experience of a patient caring role
- physically fit & able to lift / carry patients and equipment
- level 3 First aid at work, but training can be arranged
- great communication skills
- FREC3 / FPOSi / equivalent qualification or above, but training can be arranged
- positive 'can do' attitude
- previous Ambulance / medical experience an advantage
