Working hours
- full-time | Part-time | Contract
Responsibility
- assisting the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose
- attending childcare reviews and planning meetings, providing information and working towards the best outcomes
- conducting in-house workshops on childcare-related matters to improve practice
- undertaking direct work with young people and being a positive role model
- driving company vehicles as per policies and procedures
- maintaining accurate written records for monitoring, evaluation, and information purposes
- working on a rota basis according to young people's needs
- chairing children's meetings and facilitating consultation with young people
Requirements
- minimum 1 year of relevant supervisory experience
- 12 months of experience working in a residential setting with young people exhibiting challenging behavior
- familiarity with National Minimum Standards
- experience as an appropriate adult
- knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
- awareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues
- team building and supervision skills
- effective communication skills
