Responsibility
- handle incoming calls and queries with professionalism and empathy
- assist patients in completing eConsultations and ensure submissions are directed to the appropriate clinician or alternative care pathways
- signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare services as required
- accurately book, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the GP’s system
- request repeat prescriptions efficiently through the GP system
- input and update patient information in accordance with practice protocols
- assist with general administrative tasks, including triaging and escalating patient encounters to the duty clinician when needed
- liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
Requirements
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong IT proficiency, including the ability to adapt to new systems
- flexibility to attend onsite training in South West London
- ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
- right to work in the UK
- previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a receptionist/administrator
- organised, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- familiarity with EMIS Web or similar clinical systems
