Responsibility
- material Management: Manage and coordinate the delivery of asphalt and other materials
- problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress
- team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a crew of asphalt/tarmac workers, including equipment operators, rakers, rollers, and other labourers. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- quality Control: Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards, including delivered material assessment, compaction, and surface finish. Implement and enforce quality control measures
- safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations and company safety policies, including conducting regular safety checklists. Promote a safe working environment for all crew members
Requirements
- proven Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Asphalt/Tarmac machine Foreman or similar role in road construction
- technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of asphalt and tarmac machine lay operations, materials, and equipment
- leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- safety Certification: Skilled workers Blue CSCS card or equivalent, With the relevant NVQ level training certificate
- site plan Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction plans and cross section/specifications
- problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
