delivery van driver
Responsibility
- operate a van to transport goods to various locations in a safe and efficient manner
- ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies
- load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies
- communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly
- adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety at all times
Requirements
- proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence suitable for commercial driving
- ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
- excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage
- A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety on the road
