  • as our Underwriting Team Leader, you will be responsible for underwriting our healthcare business, overseeing the underwriting process and leading our team of underwriters
  • you'll be the first point of contact for our AMP scheme insurers and will have the opportunity to build a mutually beneficial relationship with them which may involve occasional travel to their offices
  • you'll have at least two years of healthcare insurance underwriting and team leadership but you'll also be someone who is creative, positive, agile, takes accountability for what they do and enjoys having fun at work

Requirements

  • experience of leading, motivating and developing a team
  • experience of underwriting healthcare business
  • experience of building mutually beneficial relationships with insurers
  • experience of working to high standards and deadlines
  • experience of solving problems and overcoming challenges to deliver the outcome the client requires
  • excellent computer skills with good working knowledge of all standard Microsoft programs
  • already have or a willingness to work towards CII Certificate of Insurance with support provided by the company
  • experience of creating a continuous improvement culture where constant review and improvement of the underwriting process improves new business and renewal conversion rates
