quality inspector
Responsibility
- generating scanned part inspection report using Faro arm and Polywork software
- read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications, ensuring all components are within specified tolerances
- maintaining calibration system for in-house controlled hand held measuring equipment
- first off and patrolling inspections of finished products against drawings and route cards and standard operating procedures
- checking of incoming steel stock and consumables
- to be responsible for the inspection, testing and product evaluation of components, sub-assemblies and complete assemblies for automotive and aerospace industries, ensuring that NO defective parts reach the customer
- control of non-conforming product as per company procedure
- continuous improvement of all products and processes within your working environment
Requirements
- experience of dimensional and visual inspection of automotive & aerospace products producing ISIR and FAIR reports
- experience of Faro Arm preferably with Polyworks software
- possesses attention to detail with the ability to prioritise
- analytical with excellent problem solving skills
- high level of numeracy and general literacy
- strong background in engineering
- ability to “read” engineering drawings, and understand geometric tolerances
Education
- quality control: 2 year
