Responsibility
- the Contracts Manager will work closely with the General Manager, supported by the Operations Manager
- overseeing all stages in delivering multiple building/engineering/civils projects
- the role will take an overview of all the company’s construction projects taking an active hands-on lead on some of them
- overseeing commercial and technical aspects of tender submissions
- preparation of method statements and risk assessments
- timely procurement of the required manpower/subcontract resources
- logistical advice to the Operations Manager
- ensuring that site teams are well managed
Requirements
- FMCIOB, HNC/HND or Degree level in a related construction subject
- CSCS, First Aid and SMSTS certifications
- appropriate tickets for operating construction plant
- track record of delivering multiple projects on fast programmes within budget
- fully understanding technical engineering drawings and tender documents
- practical civils knowledge and expertise
- commercial knowledge and capability to support preparation of tenders
- full awareness of current CDM and health and safety matters
