alarmtec are looking for an Office Administrator to provide proactive support to our busy Installation department. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of the office administration as well as aid our Stores department
this role will initially be based in Willand, however the candidate must be willing to travel to the Exeter area when our offices merge in due course
administrative duties to include printing and sending drawings to engineers, monitoring and actioning department emails, job filing etc
maintaining the Company’s Plant, Calibration and Drawing Registers to include the checking of drawings
placing orders with subcontractors; issuing contracts and other associated documentation
assisting Stores during busy periods and cover during absences
producing weekly departmental reports
collating final documentation for jobs, including operation and maintenance manuals, certification etc

Responsibility
implement, monitor, and advise on strategic health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation
prepare documentation including Risk Assessment and Method Statements
interpret and advise on asbestos registers as required
develop, coordinate, implement and monitor safe working systems and processes
highlight areas where poor practice and/or significant risk have occurred and prepare corrective actions
carry out health and safety audit inspections and make recommendations for improvement in line with current legislation
undertake site inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with safe working practices
oversee the Stores department, ensuring the timely delivery of inventory for operational projects
Requirements
previous experience working in the fire alarm industry would be beneficial, however not essential
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH national certificate
excellent written and verbal communications skills
