Responsibility
- providing comprehensive, bespoke, person-led support to people experiencing domestic abuse, facilitating improved well-being, resilience and independence
- provide comprehensive information, advice and support ü Help people to identify and develop their own solutions
- help people identify their strengths and build confidence
- explore and build informal networks of support ü Identify and reduce risks
- work assertively to engage people ü Provide a holistic approach to achieve long term solutions
- work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies and services ü Identify and act on safeguarding concerns
- · To conduct face-to-face or telephone appointments which will include safety planning sessions, jointly devising, and setting
- goals based on support needs and providing advice and signposting as appropriate
Requirements
- the Early Help Worker DA
- must have
- ability to work with vulnerable people, including men and women who have experienced domestic abuse
- knowledge and understanding of the experiences and effects of domestic abuse
- experience of working with people who have experienced domestic abuse or other vulnerable adults
- the ability to deliver a person led, strengths based approach
- the ability to signpost people and provide information and advice, sometimes in crisis situation and to people with complex needs
- the ability to develop personal plans to achieve positive outcomes
