Responsibility

to ensure that a robust cleaning schedule is fully understood and implemented across all kitchen areas of responsibility
to ensure that a high standard of personal cleanliness and wear appropriate clean clothing at all times, as required by Health and Hygiene regulations
to ensure safety guidelines are understood and followed by all kitchen users to prevent accidents
ensuring the kitchen, store room, and separate kitchen are kept clean and hygienic at all times
when required, ordering in advance the food required as per the weekly set menus and checking deliveries, both for quantity and quality. Assist with menu planning on a two- weekly cycle
to be aware of, and ensure that all current/relevant legislation relating to food handling, kitchen management and Health and Safety Regulations are followed in the kitchen
to prepare, cook and serve items from the Glen Vue Café menu and to provide any additional catering for specific meetings/events as required
to ensure that the kitchen, storeroom, and fridge/freezer room are kept clean and hygienic at all times
