• read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the fabrication process
• measure, cut, and shape metal components using power tools and hand tools
• assemble and weld metal parts using various welding techniques such as mig welding

• inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Requirements

• strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
• ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• proficient in welding techniques, with certification

• experience working with structural steel is preferred
• familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in fabrication
• basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• MIG welding: 3 years
• fabrication: 3 years
