Responsibility
- each job must be produced with safety, accuracy, and timeliness
- A TIG welder is capable of building assemblies with multiple components requiring interpretation of engineering drawings, aided by jigs and fixtures
- capable of multi positional welding and understanding more advanced welding symbols
- capable of identifying most weld defects and possessing the knowledge and skills to rectify them
- capable of producing basic jigs and fixtures and dimensionally checking and verifying to drawing
- position Expectation: The Welder/Fabricator’s primary responsibility is tig and/or MiG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
Requirements
- position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret drawings
- position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures
- MIG welding: 1 year
- fabrication: 1 year
