- create detailed technical drawings and specifications
- select appropriate materials for the printer's construction
- coordinate with other team members to ensure integration of mechanical components
- oversee the fabrication and assembly process of the prototype
- conduct performance testing and iterate on designs as needed
Requirements
- you must be able to manage your time effectively and know when to escalate issues and ask for assistance
- bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- proficiency in CAD software
- strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- the successful candidate must be able to both work independently and as part of a wider team and understand the importance of reporting progress and communicating effectively, both internally and externally
- experience in prototype fabrication and assembly
- excellent problem-solving and communication skills
