develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing processes and overall cost efficiency
the Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's purchasing and buying activities
source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on their product quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery capabilities
negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring favourable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements
continuously monitor market trends, raw material costs, and availability to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities in the procurement process
manage supplier relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews, resolving issues, and fostering long-term mutually beneficial partnerships
ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including product safety standards, intellectual property rights, import/export regulations, etc

Requirements
bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
previous experience in procurement, buying, or purchasing roles, preferably in the retail or wholesale industry
strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and address supply chain challenges
proficiency in using procurement software systems, MS Office Suite, and other relevant tools
knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks related to procurement
ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance
