Responsibility
- ensure all prescriptions received are clinically checked for dosage and safety
- be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to groups of HIV and sexual health patients
- review prescriptions for accuracy and legality and identify actual or potential problems
- advise patient on adverse side effect, interactions, and minor ailments
- ensure the effective supply of medicines suitable for use and appropriately labelled
- ensure the effective outcomes of treatment with medicines
- undertake NMS and DMS service
- monitor patients for potential and actual adverse effects of their medicines
Requirements
- demonstrate drive, initiative and proactivity in role
- NMS trained and accredited, and experienced
- proven ability to work both as part of a bigger team and individually
- ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
- strong communication skills
- display high level of accuracy
- experience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlines
- experience of working within company and ethical rules and regulations
