Responsibility
- deliver high-quality, age-appropriate dance sessions in a structured yet fun environment
- develop engaging class plans that combine basic technique, rhythm, and playful movement
- build a nurturing atmosphere where all children feel included, supported, and safe
- encourage children to express themselves while maintaining respectful classroom behaviour
- observe and support each child’s development, offering encouragement and feedback
- maintain a clean and child-friendly studio setup before and after class
- liaise with the Academy admin regarding class updates, parent feedback, and studio needs
- assist in preparation for any informal showcases or open-class sessions for parents
Requirements
- prior experience teaching dance to preschool or early primary-age children is essential
- specialism in ballet or creative movement for ages 3–6 is strongly preferred
- confident, clear communicator who can manage young groups calmly and effectively
- positive, gentle, and patient approach to working with small children
- punctual, organised, and committed to showing up professionally each week
- enhanced DBS check
- dance qualification, safeguarding training, or First Aid certification are desirable but not mandatory
