- role: Senior Ecologist Location: Brandeton, Suffolk Full Time: to start March 2024
- working on EPSM Licence applications and implementation
- planning and undertaking a variety of ecological surveys including, but not limited to, protected species surveys of lowland terrestrial, estuarine and freshwater habitats and protected species assessments
Requirements
- experience of surveying for protected species and following standard guidelines
- working knowledge of mitigation principles and environmental/wildlife legislation in relation to protected and invasive species
- experience of undertaking Phase 1 surveys/Preliminary Ecological surveys to a high standard
- good report writing and IT skills including GIS
- minimum of a BSc in Ecology or related subject
- level 1 or 2 Bat survey licence and proficiency in sound analysis of bat calls
- A willingness to get involved in a range of other aspects of the work here
- ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines; and
