ABREHART ECOLOGY is looking for employees for positions:

Working hours

Responsibility

  • carrying out protected species mitigation
  • ecIA production
  • producing associated reports to a high standard
  • mentoring Junior members of the team, knowledge sharing
  • liaison with clients and stakeholders associated with projects
  • role: Senior Ecologist Location: Brandeton, Suffolk Full Time: to start March 2024
  • working on EPSM Licence applications and implementation
  • planning and undertaking a variety of ecological surveys including, but not limited to, protected species surveys of lowland terrestrial, estuarine and freshwater habitats and protected species assessments

Requirements

  • experience of surveying for protected species and following standard guidelines
  • working knowledge of mitigation principles and environmental/wildlife legislation in relation to protected and invasive species
  • experience of undertaking Phase 1 surveys/Preliminary Ecological surveys to a high standard
  • good report writing and IT skills including GIS
  • minimum of a BSc in Ecology or related subject
  • level 1 or 2 Bat survey licence and proficiency in sound analysis of bat calls
  • A willingness to get involved in a range of other aspects of the work here
  • ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet project deadlines; and
