Responsibility
- matching customers to suitable employment opportunities and encouraging them to fully engage in the attainment of sustainable employment
- manager a caseload of candidates through the programme
- visiting job centres - all expenses paid

- organise and facilitate assessment and screening sessions on-line and at the Job Centre and at the companies training centre
- initial assessment of customers individual training and development needs to enhance employment prospects
- promote the services to stakeholders
- producing action plans which are reviewed with the participant every 4 weeks, to help them back into work
- construction of individual action plans
- to assess and complete goal focussed action plans with participants and provide support and motivation to achieve goals
- working closely with the employer engagement consultants to identify relevant employment opportunities
- to deliver end to end information, IAG while participants are on the programme
- conduct basic skills assessments, leading to individual action plans detailing the support programme available
- deliver training sessions to small groups
- to promote and develop participants mind-set, self confidence, and motivation so that they succeed in their journey into work
- provide coaching and mentoring and IAG - Individualised advice and guidance
- identify and engage eligible and suitable participants looking for work, supporting them to develop their personal and employability skills in order to secure employment
- identify potential new participants through online applications, community outreach and working in partnership with the job centre Plus to develop these relationships to generate new starts
- pro-actively contact employers to promote the candidates into vacancies, arrange interviews and follow up
- assess CV details and provide advice to ensure it is suitable for specific employers
- assess and complete goal focussed action plans with participants, provide ongoing information, advice and guidance and coach participants on a one to one and group basis
- review the candidates training needs and development plans
- identify and engage with employers across a range of sectors to promote recruitment and skills training services and secure work opportunities to support people into work
- to use a variety of methods to identify, engage with a range of employers to secure work opportunities
- perform job matching techniques
- attending internal meetings
- to support participants in preparing CVs, covering letters and job/apprenticeship applications
- provide ongoing monitoring for performance, by making check-in calls with the participants and employers to ensure retention in employment
- complete paperwork and ensure all participants are eligible for the support programmes on offer and legally entitled to work in the UK
- placing the participants into work with local employers
- meting KPI targets to generate job starts
- promoting the training providers services to employers to take on work placements for the participants
- to coach participants on a one to one and group basis delivering a rage of supportive interventions to help them achieve sustainable employment
- making sure candidates maintain employment
- helping place apprentices into work, as well as unemployed
Requirements
- must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
- must have 12 months experience working as an Employment Advisor
- must have experience as an Employment Coach, Consultant or Advisor or Recruitment experience or similar

- ideally IAG qualified, not essential
- experience in a target driven environment
- awareness of labour market and issues relating to job attainment
- ideally Knowledge of the benefits system
- IAG desirable or willingness to be put through this
- able to communicate at all levels
- understanding of the client group and the barriers they face
- excellent planning and organisational skills as managing own caseload
- fast paced environment
- must have experience of either working for a training provider, or welfare to work, or another Education establishment or a Recruitment Agency placing people into work or a Job Centre
