- lead the registration process with Ofsted and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- develop and implement policies, procedures, and care plans that meet the needs of each child and promote their welfare
- recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team of care professionals
- foster a positive, safe, and supportive environment where children feel valued and empowered
- oversee the day-to-day running of the home, including budgeting, resource management, and staff rotas
- work in partnership with local authorities, social workers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the children
- ensure the safeguarding of all residents and that all staff follow safeguarding policies rigorously
Requirements
- we are seeking a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to lead the establishment and operation of our new home
- minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role within a children’s residential care setting
- level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- experience of successfully leading and managing within a regulatory framework, ideally in setting up a new children’s home
- strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and care standards
- excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development
