Responsibility
- you will be mostly preparing costings for one-off bespoke high-end residential or multi-unit properties both in residential and commercial sectors
- understanding the tender legal requirements
- understanding the contractual requirements for those tenders
- understanding the industry standards that are required to be met
- engaging with specialist subcontractors, suppliers, designers, QS to ensure we submit a competitive and accurate tender
- establish what resources are required for the efficient completion of the projects
- maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues
- you’ll be responsible for communicating with our client QS, preparing bills of quantities, variations and overseeing the whole estimation process until the contract stage
Requirements
- we are seeking to contract an experienced carpentry estimator, which has extensive experience within the new build sector
- our estimator must have a good knowledge of the tender process including preparing allowances for all site prelims and calculating expected build programme durations
