Responsibility
- conduct MOT tests in accordance with current regulations and standards
- inspect vehicles for safety, emissions, and other compliance issues
- use hand tools and power tools to perform necessary repairs or adjustments
- document test results accurately and provide clear feedback to vehicle owners
- maintain a clean and organised work environment
- communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition and required repairs
- assist in training junior staff or apprentices as needed
Requirements
- proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar automotive role is preferred
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues
- proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs
- A valid MOT testing qualification is essential
