Responsibility

  • guiding mission is to optimize our value/vehicle by applying our fastening, assembly and system expertise with value added products
  • build, manage and develop relationships with all decision makers within JLR R&D to optimize our value/vehicle on target vehicles/programs
  • adapt our offer to suit automotive specifications/product requirements and assembly methods used by OEM’s and associated Tiers
  • co-ordinate & facilitate new standards/part releases into JLR , for the AR manufacturing network
  • provide sales, technical and quality support at relevant customer locations and support the UK team/colleagues at other locations when necessary
  • support the UK team with technology days and company meetings, with an emphasis on managing your priorities
  • work closely with all relevant fastener FSP’s, Tier suppliers of JLR and others.Identifying fastening and assembly system solutions from existing AR catalogues or initiate development of new products/systems
  • provide accurate estimates of products on existing vehicles and future projected product usage, value/vehicle for inclusion in the Company’s business development plan.Measurement

Education

  • A successfully completed technical engineering degree or apprenticeship with further industry applicable training
  • good technical understanding, ideally working knowledge in injection moulding, metal stamping/bending, automation and assembly capabilities
  • minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Automotive business development role
  • practical experience in the field of automotive engineering, ability to understand the component function and its assembly environment, ideally within an international business

Requirements

  • practical, hands-on approach to problem solving by being analytical, structured, precise, and have a reliable working style
  • must have a target orientated working style
  • excellent communication and social skills
  • competent with MS-Office, TEAMS applications, CAD skills for interpretation would be useful
  • hold full UK driving licence
