Responsibility
- the dental nurse/attendant is there to assist the dentist with all clinical aspects within the surgery
- they should adopt proficient surgery procedures, ensuring the best utilisation of surgery time
- provide excellent patient care, maintain cross infection control, equipment and materials
- adhering to at all times systems and protocols in line with company strategy, goals and values
- ensure waiting areas, corridors, stairs and immediate external areas are kept tidy and free of hazards in line with Health & Safety requirements
- be fully conversant with all emergency & evacuation procedures
- the dental nurse/attendant must remain in surgery, ensuring that dentists are chaperoned at all times when treating a patient
- carry out reception and administrative tasks where required
Requirements
- experience of working within surgery environment
- nursing qualification or experience
- excellent communication skills
- ability to use IT and operate a computer based system
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to use own initiative
- ability to provide unique customer care
- be organised and able to pre-plan
