laboratory technician

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • lead and assist with mechanical design aspects of our products, providing insights on; materials selections, manufacturability, integration etc
  • development-scale assemblies and small-scale fabrications
  • produce engineering drawings of our products for visualisation and manufacture
  • some testing and qualification of sensors
  • lead and assist with assembling our products and devices to consistently high standards
  • creation and version control management of manufacture/assembly documentation and drawings
  • ensuring that products and devices are assembled in accordance with Company documentation
  • ensure all equipment and tooling is functioning to achieve the required results for the operations undertaken

Education

  • A-Level or equivalent

Requirements

  • A production technician who has worked in a multi-disciplined manufacturing/production environment for at least 10 years
  • technical apprenticeship/equivalent qualifications
  • excellent hands-on mechanical/technical skills
  • be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of hand tools both for mechanical and electrical operations
  • previous experience in milling/machining would be an advantage but is not essential
  • knowledge of manufacturing processes would be beneficial
  • creative thinking – ability to problem solve
  • engineering workshop: 9 years
