Responsibility

  • to be able to read and understand assembly/electrical drawings and electrical schedules
  • pre-assemble sub assembly equipment/wiring to drawing/instructions and then perform electrical testing and certification prior to fitting into enclosures
  • final inspection & testing of product prior to despatch
  • write out and sign off electrical certificates to current wiring regulations
  • work to current wiring regulation and have a good working knowledge of electrical design
  • participate in design reviews, participate in various customer meetings & provide guidance on site installation requirements
  • generic fault finding & problem solving
  • to install electrical telecommunications equipment with voltages from -48V DC, 230V AC & 415V AC into enclosure/cabinets to electrical drawings and manufacturers documentation

Requirements

  • level 3 City & Guilds in Electrical Installation City & Guilds 17th/18th edition
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • 4 years experience
  • own transport and tools
