Responsibility

  • coach and provide specialist generic and technical learning support to our learners
  • prepare, plan, and oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of your workspace
  • the skills coaches will work within our skill centres delivering tailored course content to individuals and small groups within a planned curriculum of skills courses such as generic life skills, cooking, gardening, and woodwork.; These courses will be the main offering however course content will evolve and change from time to time to introduce new skills to our learners
  • assisting in marketing tasks, such as handing out flyers and promoting the business to prospective new clients
  • ensure all equipment in workshops are maintained and in working order to ensure safe standards and reporting of any defects
  • experience in preparing weekly menus budgeting, proper food storage methods, general cooking skills, cleaning, safe use of appliances
  • prepare weekly grocery lists, purchase supplies based on the week's menu and with financial budgets by balancing receipts
  • ensure that all learning activities are carried out in a safe manner, in a safe working environment, manage risk assessments and accident incident records for the café
