Responsibility

  • due to continued expansion and investment we are seeking someone who can add to our growth ambition
  • CAD Technician required for permanent position at ZZen Engineering Ltd based in Burnley
  • converting 2D/3D CAD drawings into functional programs for laser cutting and folding
  • converting 2D/3D CAD drawings into functional CNC laser cutting and press brake folded programmes
  • modify existing drawings to suit customer requirements
  • program work orders and create job packs
  • nest/maximise material usage
  • liaise with suppliers

Requirements

  • thorough understanding of engineering drawings
  • experience in CNC laser cutting, nesting and folding sheet steel
  • good computer skills
  • working knowledge of sheet metal flat pattern developments
  • knowledge of pricing jobs in similar background
  • knowledge of pricing jobs, sales experience in similar background
  • CAD ideally in SigmaNest
  • team player
