Working hours

Responsibility

  • lead and manage the residential childcare team to provide high-quality care
  • this unique position involves managing two solo bed homes located in close proximity, ensuring the highest standard of care is provided
  • oversee the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural management plans
  • this includes ensuring that all care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural management plans are implemented effectively
  • manage stakeholder relationships and engage with the local community
  • you will lead and manage a team of professionals and be responsible for stakeholder relationships and community engagement
  • stay updated on Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations, and Quality Standards, as well as Children's Homes Regulations 2015
  • ensure the home adheres to the standards outlined in its Statement of Purpose

Requirements

  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce
  • experience at Manager/Deputy/Senior RCW level specifically within a residential home for children
  • extensive experience in a residential care setting
  • thorough knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations, and Quality Standards
  • proven ability in budget management and change management
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway or equivalent
  • ability to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
