- performance of laboratory work to a high standard with very good attention to detail, following laboratory SOPs
- they will work with a variety of molecular biology techniques and assist in the day-to-day operations of the laboratory
- receipt of reagent and sample deliveries
- accurate documentation of laboratory work
- contribute to the daily maintenance and running of the laboratory environments
- booking in of sample deliveries onto LIMS
- updates to laboratory SOPs as directed by supervisor
Requirements
- A degree in a life science such as molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics or HND/HNC with laboratory experience
- A degree in a life science subject such as molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics
- proficient in MS Office packages
- good attention to detail
- experience of using bioinformatics tools as part of assay design would be a bonus
- strong data analysis and interpretation skills
- ability to learn quickly during training and then perform tasks independently
- ability to think analytically and troubleshoot
Education
- minimum of a degree in a Science related subject or experience of working in a science-related environment for 2 years
