- we are seeking a dynamic and organised Hire Desk Controller to join our team
- as a Hire Desk Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hire desk, managing customer inquiries, coordinating equipment rentals, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers
- coordinate equipment bookings, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely delivery to customers
- promote and uphold health and safety regulations within the hire desk area
- serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, providing information on available equipment, and assisting with rental requests
- offer outstanding customer service, addressing customer needs promptly and professionally
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role within the equipment hire or construction industry is preferred
- strong customer service skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- proficiency in using computer software and databases for order processing and record keeping
- organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- knowledge of construction equipment and their applications is a plus
- ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a positive attitude and adapting to a fast-paced environment
