Responsibility
- prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies
- take customer orders and process payments using the cash register
- provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop area
- follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- assist with food preparation, such as making sandwiches or pastries
- operate coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines or coffee grinders
Requirements
- previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred
- knowledge of basic math for cash handling and retail transactions
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- attention to detail for preparing beverages according to customer preferences
- ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- barista experience: 1 year
