Responsibility
- about the role
- you will continuously review these methods, recommending and implementing improvements when required
- at Xtrac, we design and develop transmission systems for a diverse range of customers and these products are increasingly complex, made up of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic sub-systems
- as a Senior Simulation Engineer you will simulate the behaviour of these transmission systems to guide the design process, enable us to predict their performance, and to assist in the development of the control systems that will operate them
- about you
- using your experience, you will ensure that the simulation methods and tools that we use are appropriate for the projects and products that we undertake, and allow us to input information into the design and development process at the right stages
- you will work closely with the design teams to understand our products and the targets for our new designs, ensuring that the resolution of our simulations is fit for purpose and that they generate the outputs required
- you will also define, implement and refine simulation methods that allow models to be used throughout the development process into HIL testing environments
