Responsibility
- lead the operation of reliable, consistent, and responsive deployment across multiple products
- ensure that the cost, security, and resilience of deployments are regularly reviewed and optimised
- own the processes that enable independent implementation, testing, and deployment of new features into production safely and efficiently
- develop and implement automated application and infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment process
- ensure that systems meet business and customer needs for reliability and availability
- manage application performance and service quality, whilst ensuring cost optimisation
- ensure that deployment architectures are well documented
- ensure that engineering and development teams are adhering to agreed solution architectures, to maintain the performance and operability of the solutions they develop
Requirements
- A relevant Bachelors or Masters Degree
- A proven background in Software Engineering, producing quality artefacts
- strong experience in WebLogic, JBOSS EAP 6.x and/or other middleware technologies
- experience as a DevOps Engineer with versatile technical experience of cloud platforms, automation and continuous software delivery
- hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code
- fundamental experience in CI / CD pipelines
- experience in AWS and Deployments in Cloud Environments
- minimum 5 years of experience in using and adopting a wide range of engineering practices and tools including feature team or component team delivery across the full software development life cycle
