Requirements

  • continuous Improvement
  • experience of working in a quality department in a manufacturing environment
  • HNC or higher in Quality or Engineering
  • internal Auditor certified
  • qualification in and/or exposure to Lean Six-Sigma methodologies
  • knowledge of injection moulding and polymers
  • certified training in the safe use and operation of materials handling equipment

Responsibility

  • the provision of engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
  • effectively communicate and reinforce business commitment to quality improvement efforts
  • observance of Health and Safety requirements including COSHH
  • seek, introduce and adopt best practice solutions within our Quality Team
  • motivate and train personnel in all aspects of the Quality role & management system
  • co-ordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production and Tool Room to resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • perform duties in accordance with quality system requirements
  • conduct investigations into particular quality problems so that root causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive measures are put in place
