Responsibility
- coordinate design works with the Project/Design Manager and other discipline Lead Engineers
- perform analyses and optimisation of structural designs, followed by skilled examination of results and identification of the main design drivers
- present design methods and results at client and certifying agent meetings during both the design and certification process
- ensure calculations are sufficiently checked and document all quality assurance processes to fulfil project audit requirements
- deliver secondary steel design work packages for Concept Design, Front End Engineering Design and Detailed Designs with focus on large steel foundation structures for offshore wind turbines, in collaboration with secondary steel engineers and other relevant disciplines
- mentor junior engineers in the applied methods and processes to design both material-optimised and fabrication-friendly structures
- manage works by secondary steel engineers and CAD technicians to deliver high-quality design and documentation of secondary structural components, reflecting both fabrication-friendliness and the latest state-of-the-art, while ensuring successful third-party certification and efficient follow-up during the fabrication and installation phases
- contribute to the company's technical development in the field of secondary steel design
