- words First is seeking an experienced and dedicated Educational Psychologist to join our rapidly expanding team
- as a Words First Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students, parents, and teachers within the UK school system
- your knowledge and understanding of the educational landscape will be instrumental in promoting positive learning environments and addressing the diverse needs of students
Responsibility
- conduct comprehensive assessments of students' educational, emotional, and psychological needs
- collaborate with school staff and parents to develop tailored intervention plans and strategies
- provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
- offer guidance and support to teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and accommodations for students with special educational needs
- contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives to enhance the overall well-being and academic success of students
- participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the creation of Education, Health, and Care Plans
- stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in educational psychology to inform your practice
Requirements
- A recognized postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology
- registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Educational Psychologist
- experience working as an Educational Psychologist in UK schools, preferably within different educational settings
- good knowledge of the UK educational system
- strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with experience conducting psychological assessments
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and educational staff
- ability to provide evidence-based interventions and support for students with a range of needs
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunities in education
