workshop supervisor
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- whilst your main role is supervisory, you will also be required to weld and fabricate
- you will liaise with the MD and other office staff regarding production statuses, employee progress, and the like
- lead, motivate, and supervise a team of welders and fabricators
- oversee the workflow in the workshop, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work
- conduct quality inspections of completed work, addressing any deficiencies or areas for improvement
- duties for this role include supervising, organising and motivating staff in our workshop. Experience of a supervisory role is preferred but not essential, but you must have good people skills and be reliable, organised, and hardworking
- liaise with office staff to ensure the production schedule is regularly updated and accurate
- monitor and manage stock levels of materials and consumables
Requirements
- previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred
- A very capable metal fabricator with experience of a vast range of different fabrications
- strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with an eye for detail
- strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with colleagues and management
- valid driver's license
- MIG welding: 1 year
