Responsibility
design and implement menus that fit the requirements of a modern contemporary restaurant
research and development of food, flavours and liase with producers and suppliers to create exciting plates
relay any information from the leadership team to the kitchen teams through daily briefings or staff meetings
maintain high standards of appearance and good personal hygiene
to manage food ordering and inventory control for maintaining optimum level of ingredients and stock at kitchen
to assist in monitoring and developing team members’ performance, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work
to oversee, lead and maintain the direction of the culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of all food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
provide recipes, training, and experience to all staff to improve on all things where possible from presentation, taste and keep operations smooth for customer satisfaction
Requirements
minimum 2 years / Sous Chef restaurant experience
leader and manage a team of at least 7 staff
creative and hands on
well organized and structured
strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable
motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills
acquire good training and coaching skills
proven experience in an Sous chef role
