Responsibility

  • uphold the professional standards contained within ‘The Code’ by the NMC
  • to deliver care & support as set by The Scottish Health & Social Care Standards
  • to be responsible for the direct nursing care, treatment and support of residents
  • to take responsibility as a named nurse for several residents which includes attending reviews, initiating and completing care plans
  • to act as an advocate for the residents as appropriate
  • to assist in the orientation and continued development of the care team
  • maintain professional relationships with colleagues, residents and their families
  • to enable residents to continue with their own interests in music, drama, movement, art, literature and environmental interests as appropriate
