Responsibility

• operate & inspect plant or equipment to diagnose defects
• diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
• undertake planned and reactive maintenance

• inspect, Repair & replace damaged or worn parts as required
• test plant or equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance
• carry out pre-hire and 12 monthly through examinations on plant
• servicing company vehicles in a cost-effective manner
• liaising with suppliers to achieve value for money on parts
• maintain part stock levels ensuring we have equipment to cater for emergency breakdowns
• work with Transport to ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced & inspected as & when required
• advising when plant is no longer fit for purpose or safe

Requirements

• plant Mechanic/Fitter: 1 year

Earnings for position plant fitter

Responsibility

• planning of delivery routes to ensure optimum efficiency
• being proficient in loading and unloading cargo/ plant equipment , inspecting vehicles and manoeuvering in tight spaces
• yard Duties will also be included within your job role
