Responsibility
- ensure the client achieves their stated objectives through close teamwork, proactive cost control and the provision of contractual advice
- attend and/or chair meetings with client
- prepare financial reports
- monitor the communication of a project status
- preparing full tender documentation for multiple projects
- provide advice on contractors, specialists, procurement routes, cost and programme solutions
- working as part of a close team of surveyors and project managers reporting into the Director whilst providing a cost consulting role the client
- provide advice on suitability and preparation of contract documents
Requirements
- have experience in a client facing role previously
- A relevant degree or masters qualification in quantity surveyor or similar equivalent subject
- have experience in working within the built environment
- prior experience of working in a consultancy side quantity surveying/cost consulting role carrying out pre and post contract duties
- have a Quantity Surveying related degree
- experience of using CostX software would be highly advantageous, but is not essential for the ideal candidate
- experience of working on projects in the built environment, especially retail
- familiar with common forms of contract such as JCT and NEC
