  • provide smooth and efficient administrative support on a daily basis

  • deal sensitively with parents, prospective parents, other schools and with the general public on a wide variety of topics, either in person, on the phone, video-conferencing, email or by letter
  • use discretion on the re-direction of callers as necessary, providing information and answering questions. Ensure that accurate and detailed messages are taken and distributed and that all queries are dealt with professionally and effectively
  • provide assistance with general administrative tasks and act as a source of help and advice for members of staff
  • daily collection of incoming post, sort and distribute internal mail and post outgoing mail, including Kew Life, receive deliveries and liaise with the Site Manager for these to be distributed

Responsibility

  • to work with the kitchen staff to produce food to a high standard on a daily basis
  • to be the budget holder for the provision of food and associated goods
  • to co-ordinate the serving of meals and snacks
  • to be responsible in conjunction with the Principal for planning and reviewing menu cycles and ensure any special dietary requirements are responded to
  • to maintain standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment and to work within the guidelines of the Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations in compliance with the Food Standards
  • to carry out other duties of a similar nature from time to time as may be required by the Principal/SMT
  • to attend meeting meetings as required and participate in training opportunities and performance development
