carry out a full range of roofing repairs, maintenance, and improvements across domestic homes, communal areas, and some commercial sites
plumbing – remove/refix, soil, rainwater pipes & clean out gutters
maintain high levels of site safety, including use of PPE, and support apprentices and trainees as required
deliver work efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards; use basic multi-skills to complete additional tasks where needed, helping to reduce the number of customer visits
perform tasks such as repairing pitched tile/slate roofs, hips, ridges, verges & valleys, pointing & flaunching, minor demolition, and replacing/repairing battens and membranes
undertake a wide range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance activities
complete a range of works across the property services directorate and cover the following trade disciplines; Bricklayer, Carpenter, Plasterer and Plumber
maintain effective communications with team members to maximise efficiency
accurately complete work records using paper and electronic systems
support Trade Mentor with maintaining van stocks
compliance officer

maintain understanding around waste and environmental legislation and compliance requirements
develop and integrate Environmental Management System to identify, assess, moderate, and control environmental risks
lead carbon reduction initiatives and support the development of the carbon management plan
provide expert guidance and advice to staff and partners on waste and environmental matters
collaborate with the Energy and Climate Change Team to drive emerging environmental initiatives
